This is Geon, inspired by Portal. It's a 3D action platformer puzzle game.
Q: What is Geon about?
A: It's about a futuristic society operating via a dyson sphere (more info here) that is doomed when the computer co-running the society shuts down all resource production. The game takes place eons in the future, with only one person remaining, who has to then take down the computer. THE STORY MAY CHANGE.
Q: What's the gameplay like?
A: The whole game revolves around action-packed platforming and puzzle solving in an immersive and indulging 3D world, all the while keeping the player reeled in with interesting lore and story.
Q: How is this any different from Portal?
A: Good question! First of all, Geon features multiple endings. So far, the planned endings involve: (1) disobeying the computer and trying to escape.. (2) listening to the computer's direction. Each ending has its own lore/story implications as well as a unique path. More importantly, the mechanic is vastly different.
Q: Okay, so what's the main game mechanic?
A: It's actually pretty cool. One word: magnets. All magnets have a positive and a negative. Opposites attract, likes repel. You can shoot your own magnetic field generators, the geons, to propel yourself across complex and engaging levels and solve magnet-based puzzles. Pick up and shoot items with your geon gun, manipulate levels and objects to help you reach your goal!
